Greetings Denizens of FantasyLegends

UPDATE!: ALL ADMINS AND SUPPORTERS PLEASE PROCEED TO THE ADMIN AREA TO CAST YOUR VOTES FOR THE WINNERS OF PART ONE!

A brief hiccup occurred a few days ago on my end of the net and I was unable to post this journal properly. The hiccup was both personal and technical. In any case, every detail is sorted out now, and for those of you who have been awaiting the next contest, wait no more. Because, here's a big one for you. ;)

A year ago, FantasyLegends held a tournament in honor of our group's namesake; a tournament that pitted two staples of Fantasy, Might and Magic, against each other in a grueling, no-holds-barred battle for dominance. It was a fight between the deviants who either held true to the strength of their swords and armor, or relied on the power of their spells and charms.

Last time, the entries were so many, and it was so difficult to choose the best ones. Last time, those on the side of Might gave their all, as did those on the side of Magic, to produce the best deviations they could. Last time, it was the Mighty who prevailed over the Magical.

This time, the fight is on again. And this time, we're doubling down.

FantasyLegends is calling on you, our fair denizens, to participate in a Summer-long contest in the form of our second annual Might Vs. Magic Tournament. The contest will be pretty  much the same as the previous one: deviants will submit their entries depicting either a mighty warrior (or warrioress) with all the strength and skill and weaponry befitting one of their prowess, or a powerful witch or wizard (or another magical being of sorts) armed to the teeth with their mystical energies and instruments of enchantment. They will be pitted against each other to determine the victor.

But, taking inspiration from one of our sister groups, All-Mature-Content, their is a twist this time. For this time, Both the Mighty and the Magical will be pitted against themselves before they move on. How so? Because the tournament will be divided not only by Mighty and Magical, but by Good and Evil. This is another staple in Fantasy. It makes sense that if a mighty hero stands for truth and justice and all that, an equally powerful villain must challenge him. Likewise for the good-hearted magical sage who uses their power for beneficence, an sage with a blackened soul must be just as malicious with their dark gifts.

Part 1 of the tournament will be divided into Four Rounds: Mighty Good, Magically Good, Mighty Evil, Magically Evil. Each round will run for two weeks. It's vitally important you read each journal at the start of each round as the rules and requirements for entering the round will change.

Part I
Rounds I, II, III and IV:

I: Mighty Good
Concluded

II: Magically Good
Concluded

III: Mighty Evil
Concluded

IV: Magically Evil
8/1/17 - 8/14/17

At the closing of one round, the next will start the day after, and so on until the end. Three winners will be chosen from each round and will receive the appropriate prizes as listed in the Prize section. The top winner for the corresponding round will move forward. The corresponding Good and Evil of Might and Magic will be placed to a vote by you, the denizens in two additional rounds of voting in Part 2.

Part II
Rounds V, VII and VII

Round V:
The First Place winners of Might and Magic from the Good Side will be put into a poll. The Denizens of FantasyLegends will decide the winner of the round by voting for 1 week. The entry with the most votes receives an additional fifty points and proceeds to Round Seven. The runner-up will receive 10 points.

Round VI: The First Place winners of Might and Magic from the Evil Side will be put into a poll. The Denizens of FantasyLegends will decide the winner of the round by voting for 1 week. The entry with the most votes receives an additional fifty points and proceeds to Round Seven. The runner-up will receive 10 points.

A winner from both sides will be determined and the Final Battle will begin where, you the denizens, will once again cast a vote to determine the final winner in Round VII.

Round VII: The winners from Rounds V and VI will be placed in a final poll where the Denizens will once again determine the winner by voting for 1 week. The entry with the most votes after 1 week will receive a 1 Month Core Membership, or the equivalent points if the choose. The runner-up will receive nothing.

Guess I should throw my hat into the ring, and what better a time to do it than mighty evil? I must evoke a devastating warrior, one who'd take on any dragon, maybe even tame one though sheer force just to fly into the battle, one that wouldn't flinch at the highest level of magic being thrown at him directly, one that would crush his foes with a single smash slice or stab!

Then, when the army lays dead on the floor, he'll claim all their possession, oppress those still alive and sit on the throne of the dead king, laughing at their misery, and drinking the fruits of their labor, with a sadistic smile...
